The story so far...
Madabouthouse.ie bringstogether an exciting mix of inspired gifts for house and home. Our passion for over 40 years in business has always been in specialising in unique and beautiful pieces for your home and loved ones showcasing an exciting collection of gifts sourced from all corners of the world.
The business was launched over 40 years ago by Frances Given establishing its first retail outlet in Dungloe, Co. Donegal in 1970 known locally as The Gift Shop. An astute business woman, Frances grew the business over the next 30 years retailing giftware, jewellery and music always keeping the customer at the heart of the business.
Over the last 15 years Frances’ daughters Anne Marie and Elaine and Elaine’s husband Edmond have taking over the running of the business and have continued this commitment of always providing the best possible customer care.
In 2002 the business launched its own designer jewellery collection under the brand name ‘Jennifere Jewellery’, working with in-house and European designers. We now launch twice yearly designer collections and this brand is now successfully sold in over 200 shops across Ireland and UK.
Today the retail part of the business now rebranded under ‘madabouthouse’ hopes to continue this exciting journey online and continue to source and provide a diverse range of high quality items from around the world for your benefit.
